Born in Kanazawa in 1948 Nakamura Kohei grew up in a ceramic art family with father Baizan and brothers Kimpei and Takuo. Recently he’s channeling the spirits of ancient chawan makers and succeeding in spades. Here are two examples, a large ‘deep-well’ Ido chawan and a very Chojiro-esque Black Raku. The Ido is 9.6cm.tallx16.7cm wide, both signed on base, perfect condition, signed boxes.
