Feb 03, 2013 · “The Wedding” is a sculpture made by the Syrian Laila Muraywid.Her sculptures evoke the woman condition because after all, Arab Spring is for women too. We find in this artwork two arms, the hands are desperately holding on something while in the centre, the junction shows a violent slot like as the flesh was exploded by bombings, a slot separating the arms.
