Piasta received her MFA in 2012 from the Umeå Academy of Fine Arts in Sweden and her BFA from the Emily Carr University of Art + Design in 2006.

Piasta received her BFA from Emily Carr University of Art + Design and her MFA from the Academy of Fine Arts in Umeå (Sweden). She was twice shortlisted for the RBC Painting competition and was a recipient of the Vancouver Mayor’s Award for Emerging Artists in 2015.
