Born in the United Kingdom, Liz Shreeve later settled in Sydney. In 1972 she graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) from the University of New South Wales. In 1997 she received a Certificate of Drawing Fundamentals from the North Coast Institute of TAFE and in 1999 she received a Certificate IV in Fine Arts also from the North Coast Institute of TAFE .
