The Shock Art program, introduced in 2011, provides funds to decorate switchgear boxes throughout Longmont, in conjunction with Longmont Power and Communications. Local artists submit scaled down designs, voted on by the public. The artists submitting the winning designs are commissioned to paint boxes in pre-selected locations.
