M. Douglas Walton. bio artwork. Doug Walton’s extraordinary childhood experience led to a profound sensitivity to nature which is reflected in his art today. Raised in Carmen, Oklahoma he spent his formative years inflicted with a mysterious inability to communicate through speech. Unable to pronounce consonants, he found it easier to remain silent than be ridiculed for his totally unintelligible speech.

Douglas Walton, a talented painter whose work is centered around various experiences that he’s had throughout his life. After receiving his Bachelor of Architecture in 1965 from Oklahoma State University, Walton did graduate work at Oklahoma State University while on a teaching fellowship.
