Marina Naprushkina lives and works in Minsk. Her work is based around a sustained critical examination of the totalitarian regime in her native Belarus headed by Alexander Lukashenko. Working in a wide variety of mediums, Neprushkina appropriates, recontextualizes, and subverts Lukashenko’s propaganda, commenting on the continued power of images to influence popular opinion.
