Mark Benesh, Class of 1983, has been named to the Fine Arts Hall of Fame by the Mount Vernon Alumni Association. Benesh, of Mount Vernon, has been a K-8 art teacher at Lisbon Community Schools since 2009 and has a long career as an artist and volunteer in the region.

Art teacher Mark Benesh is a very creative, passionate, and influential artist. Ever since he was a child he had a passion for art. After graduating Mount Vernon High School in 1983, Benesh moved on to Iowa State University for Art and worked in Graphic Design for a few years.
