Pierre Marseille was a French artist, born in Marseille on 1 June, 1896 and died in Uchaux (just north of Avignon) on 10 March, 1976. He distinguished himself as a painter of landscapes from his native Provence. From 1922, he exhibited in Paris at the Salons des independents and Salon d’Automne.
