Martha Dunigan taught sculpture, ceramics, and drawing for 26 years at UNCSA. She was also a founding member of Artworks Gallery, the Piedmont Triad's oldest artist-run cooperative gallery. She was the recipient of numerous grants and awards, including being named 1994 Artist of the Year at the Sawtooth Center for Visual Design.
