The Artist. Contemporary classical composer Martin Bloch's music is about emotion, expression and beauty. Originally trained as a classical pianist he switched to the electronic and pop music genre in the 80's and was a major label artist. He opened ``The Lab`` in his London studio which focuses on Soundtrack, TV, songwriting and developing new artists via his label MB4 Records.

Martin Bloch (1883-1954) was a German-Jewish artist who came to Britain as a refugee in 1934. Influential as a colourist and teacher, his paintings: dynamic still lifes, landscapes, and cityscapes, often with figures, are found in public and private collections in Britain, America, Europe and Israel.

Martin Bloch (1883-1954) was born in Neisse, Silesia. He studied aesthetics with the Swiss art historian Heinrich Woelfflin in Munich and in 1907 he took drawing lessons in Berlin with Lovis Corinth as teacher. In 1911 Bloch exhibited at the art dealer Paul Cassirer’s Gallery in Berlin. He did not serve during the First World War but lived in Spain between 1914 and 1920.
