Jul 02, 2012 · Biography Matthew Darbyshire (1977, Cambridge) studied at the Slade under the acclaimed British sculptor Phyllida Barlow, alongside other rising British talents Spartacus Chetwynd and Pablo Bronstein. Darbyshire is best known for installations that draw heavily on the aesthetic language of today’s commodity culture and the aspirational lifestyles it promotes.
