Artist Bio: David Mensing grew up in Iowa, surrounded by wide prairies and carefully groomed cornfields. His love of wild places was cultivated by family camping, backpacking and biking trips. When he moved to The West as a young man, he was captivated by its raw beauty.

Early in his childhood, David Mensing began to develop a deep appreciation for open landscapes and wild places. He grew up in Iowa, surrounded by wide prairies and carefully groomed cornfields. He recalls that the people of Iowa recognized the sustenance they received from the land, and respect for the land was foundational in the culture.

I am the owner of two paintings bought from Mensing's Art Center in Germany the first one is a Waldech landscape which I have paid around 520 DM and a second one from Baumgart No###-##-####paid around1500 DM in 1976/77.
