American bluegrass banjo player, born May 30, 1961 in Gleason, Tennessee. In 1983, Snider was crowned winner of the National Banjo Championship at the Walnut Valley Festival in Winfield, Kansas. In 1994, he was asked to appear as a guest performer on the Grand Ole Opry in 1984.
