Miriam Beerman is a prolific artist, still alive at 97. She was born in Providence, RI and attended the Rhode Island School of Design. In the 1920s, Beerman moved to New York to pursue a career as a painter. She continued her studies at the Art Students League under Yasuo Kuniyoshi.
