The Artiste was the Moller Company’s answer to an organ at lower cost. These were pre-designed instruments which, for the most part, were made as stock model cabinet organs. Slight modification was available at extra cost, but the tonal specifications as well as the scaling and voicing were very similar from organ to organ.

Our pipe organ is a "Double Artiste" built by M. P. Moller in 1975. The organ was rebuilt by Mark Steiner, of Steiner/Murphy Pipe Organ Co. located in Cumberland, MD. Clarinet and Chime stops were added during the rebuild for Durham Church. The organ was first played at Durham Church for the Christmas Eve Service in 2012.

Nov 15, 2011 · Some of the Moller Artiste organs actually make very good instrument for chapels and small parish churches too. There is a church here in Sydney which has one, and it is a marvellous little instrument that sounds much bigger than it is. Martin Hartley.
