Her joint exhibition with Australian artist Rochelle Haley and Malaysian artist Shamsudin Wahab was presented in the Underground Gallery at Rimbun Dahan from 28 February to 14 March 2010.

Grootenboer’s concept is derived from Herbert Damisch’s The Origin of Perspective in which he suggests that painting not only displays but also thinks.

Mar 01, 2019 · Monika Behrens (b. 1975, Melbourne, Victoria) lives and works in Sydney, New South Wales. She has a PhD of Fine Arts (2017) and Master of Fine Arts (2007) from University of New South Wales (UNSW) Art & Design, Sydney; and a Bachelor of Fine Art fom Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) University, Melbourne (1998).
