Jan 05, 2021 · Philip Morsberger – the painter whose art led viewers into a world of color expressing both the comic and the profound – died Sunday from COVID-19 complications. He was 87. Morsberger had lived in Augusta since 1996 when he became the William S. Morris Eminent Scholar in Art at Augusta University. He held the endowed professorship until 2001.
