Hello, I am new in MP3Tag. I must say that it looks very very amazing application. Anyway, I am using Plex for my music and it seems that it likes to have an Album Artist in order to show nice in the list. I would like to copy all my Artist field to the album Artist, for all the songs in my list.

In the meantime, you can create yourself an action that copies the values from ARTIST into the ALBUMARTIST field. A similar function is available in Convert>Tag-Tag. These 2 functions do more or less that: they fill the ALBUMARTIST field. MP3tag does not do anything automatically.

Just started using mp3tag, seems wonderful. My metadata is a mess, and it confuses Roon. So trying to fix it up and make Roon happier. Almost all of my mess is files missing tags. And the tag info is available in the path name. So I've been selecting an album, then typing in the artist and album tags in the left panel based on the directory name.

My work process for an album with various artists is: put all tracks of the album in one folder. right click this folder and select MP3Tag. Then MP3 Tag opens. Select all the files in the right pane. Make sure that in the left pane the following tags are identical: Album, Albumartist (which should be "Various Artists" in this case), Year and Genre.
