Hello, I am new in MP3Tag. I must say that it looks very very amazing application. Anyway, I am using Plex for my music and it seems that it likes to have an Album Artist in order to show nice in the list. I would like to copy all my Artist field to the album Artist, for all the songs in my list.

Select ACTION, then create a new action (upper right hand "star" icon). Give your action a name (e.g., create album artist), then in the next box, click the upper right side "star" icon to create the action. It will ask you for type. use the drop down box to select FORMAT VALUE.

In the meantime, you can create yourself an action that copies the values from ARTIST into the ALBUMARTIST field. A similar function is available in Convert>Tag-Tag. These 2 functions do more or less that: they fill the ALBUMARTIST field. MP3tag does not do anything automatically.

When you first load Mp3tag, click File then Change Directory or press CTRL+D to go to the directory to where your MP3 files are. Oct 28, 2011 · Your best bet is to download the excellent free app called MP3Tag. (We use it over in the zune forums all the time.) It will embed the album art into the track (s) as part of the metadata. It's primary purpose is to find and/or correct metadata- embedding the art is just one part of that.
