Apr 04, 2007 · SiWhittle, do the artists appear more than once on only your iPod, or does it do the same in iTunes? If it does the same in iTunes, select all the songs by the same artist and right-click, then select get info. Then go to the artist field, and re-enter the artist name. Sometimes it's a space character in the artist field that differentiates the songs from each other.

Oct 13, 2003 · So, to the iPod, “The Beatles” and “The Beatles ” are two different Artists. If you’re using iTunes, check for trailing spaces after the Artist/Album tags. If you’re a Windows user using MMJB (MusicMatch Jukebox) you have somewhat of a problem due to a bug in that software.

Apr 27, 2006 · Ok, I have a VERY PAINFUL fix for the “multiple artists listed on ipod” bug. Fix: Set the “sort name” for every song by the artist to the exact same entry. Instructions: Its painful because itunes doesn’t have a multiple item info setting for sort name so you have to do each one individually.

Aug 14, 2009 · Well, most programs/products don't deal with multiple discrete artists per track. The iPod and iTunes definitely doesn't. It'll just treat the names as a single item. It does partially support Album Artist, however. So, Album Artist (TPE2/BAND for iTunes) should equal "Danger Mouse and Sparklehorse" in your example.

Feb 03, 2008 · You can do this by going into iTunes, selecting all of the tracks, and choosing File, Get Info, and then setting "Part of a Compilation" to "No." These tracks should then show up under their proper artists. The other option is to turn OFF the "Compilations" setting on the iPod itself.
