So You Want To Be an Artistis an art contest for youth ages 16 – 19. It has been presented by the National Gallery of Canada for the last 5 years. Participants are invited to submit images of their artwork and an artist statement which are then showcased on this website. Twelve artworks are selected by popular vote and three additional artworks are selected by a curator at the Gallery.
