Mar 08, 2016 · For a compilation album, the artist is in the Artist field, while Various Artists is in the Album Artist field. Also as hhgttg says, it would be far easier to simply put all these songs into a Playlist. Then you wouldn't have to spend time changing the Album or the Album Artist metadata. I tried to create a script in the NG playlist 'Grouping' thing so the group title would show the duration, but I'm not that good in the title formating (?) scripting stuff (or any kind of scripting stuff) so I did'nt get it to work. ... (i.e. %album artist% set to 'Various Artists').
