Niall Hanna is a traditional folk singer and songwriter from Derrytresk in Co. Tyrone. In early 2018 he burst on to the Irish folk scene with the release of his first solo album of songs ‘Autumn Winds’. Featuring some well-known Ulster ballads, the album also displayed Niall’s ability as a young songwriter. The title track ‘Autumn Winds’ was nominated for ‘Best Original Track’ at the RTE Folk Awards in October 2018.

Nael Hanna was born in 1959 in Neneveh, Northern Iraq and is of mixed culture - Greek and Christian Orthodox. From an early age Nael showed interest in art spending much of his childhood studying and drawing animals, birds and people. At the age of nineteen, Hanna entered college before being drafted into the Army to serve during the Iraq-Iran War.
