Nils Udo (1937) is a Bavarian artist who not only alters the environment, but incorporates nature into his creations. From the 1960's, Udo has been designing and constructing land art in nature and urban landscapes. One of his artworks, "The nest" (1978) sparked an idea for an ongoing series of artworks over decades, including "Snow nest" (1993) and "Clemson clay nest" (2005).
