1941- February 20, 2016. NCECA is saddened to learn of the passing of Danish ceramic artist Nina Hole over the weekend. Born in Denmark in 1941, Nina studied at the Art and Craft School, Copenhagen and Fredonia State College, New York. Nina, who is to become an Honorary Member of the Council during the 2016 conference in Kansas City, was an original creative voice in world ceramics.

Jan 25, 2017 · WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — The final clay piece created by ceramic artist Nina Hole before her death is featured in a Boiler Bytes video. The life-size clay structure, “Repose,” was modeled to look like a church in the Danish artist’s hometown, where she was later buried. Repose means a state of rest or tranquility, and this design was Hole’s last as she died in February 2016.
