N orton's dog sculptures make up a large portion of his work. He has been making them for over 30 years and has carved more than 100 distinct breeds and many random-bred dogs, working often from family photos. Norton's dogs are carved from eastern white pine. Sizes given are approximate and range from one foot to six feet tall.
