Responses. prudyfry says I have been using Parawire gold plated wire for a couple of years now; I think it is a wire from Germany. It is the alternative to gold filled.

Jul 24, 2010 · Parawire is stiffer, which I like because it holds shape better as you're working with it and it's easier to harden by working with it, and the coating isn't as soft as Artistic Wire's coating, so it's not as easy to nick with tools. All in all, I LOVE it!
