Aug 04, 2011 · I knew several airmen that had pictures drawn by Pat Rooney. They told me that he was a commercial artist that would turn up and complete sketches and charge a small amount for them. I know that Arthur piper was drawn at least twice at different times. I don't believe that he was ever attached to the RAF in an Official capacity like Orde.

Apr 01, 2009 · Pat Rooney caricatures - a late addition to an old thread My father-in-law (Flt Lt John Leonard [Jack] 'Kitna' Price) was a munitions and supply officer during the war and for several years afterwards. He served at a number of airfields, so I've no idea where he was in 1949 when Pat Rooney sketched the attached image.
