Paul Cunningham. Paul Cunningham was born and raised in Seattle, Washington, and began his career in glass in 1984, at the Glass Eye. A short stint in the shipping department led to a spot in front of the furnace, where he has been ever since. Working and traveling with Dale Chihuly for three years was an incredible experience for him.

About The Artist I began my career in glass in 1986 at The Glass Eye in Seattle, Washington. After two years of production work, Dale Chihuly hired me at his studio as one of his lead gaffers. Over the last 20 years, I have maintained my working relationship with Dale in both on-staff and consultative roles.
