A poet of color and form in abstract art, Paul Reed (b. 1919) has lived, taught and worked in the Washington area throughout most of his career. He became nationally recognized when he exhibited with five other Washington artists, including Kenneth Noland and Morris Louis, in a traveling exhibition of the Washington Color Painters, from 1965-66.
