Jul 07, 2015 · It came with the original footswitch too. I've always liked the old Peavey amps and I still have my Bandit 65. The Artist 240 has a lot of controls, incl. series and parallel inputs. I'm just curious what combination is the best for that classic fuzz tone?

Jul 07, 2010 · Hi i just joined today...anyway I am wondering if anyone has a footswitch for a Peavey Artist 240 amp -70's..I just picked it up Friday & she rocks with that 15" Peavey speaker...I believe the footswitch requires a Din plug and not a 1/4 plug. Any info would be helpful!

Dec 24, 2013 · As the title suggests, I've just acquired an old Peavey Artist 240 amp. I haven't been able to find much info, but from what I can tell it's got a solid state pre-amp with tubes in the power section. 120 watts, and I think it was made sometime in the mid 1970s to early 80s.

Aug 12, 2006 · I have had several amps through the years, and currently have a respectable collection. I occasionally use an Artist 240, and find that it's great bang for the buck. It's compact but a bit on the heavy side; however, the 4 6L6's driving a 12" black widow pretty much justifies the weight.
