Jean Wall Penland has been a part of the art community of Asheville for over 45 years. She is well known for her own style of blending the abstract with subtle reality to speak through her art. Jean has received many honors over her career including the prestigious Adolph & Esther Gottlieb Foundation and Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grants.
