Peter J. Ashmore Born in Coventry, Warwickshire in 1923, he was a watercolourist and illustrator working for Look and Learn children's newspaper and the Eagle Magazine between 1950 and 1969. His subjects were many and varied including nature studies, old bi-planes, retrospective motoring, cricket, tennis and golf subjects, as well as Edwardian street views.
