Aug 24, 2011 · Premier began in 1922 when a professional drummer named Albert Della Porta forged, after a short time working with the Boyle Drum Co., a partnership with its former production manager. The pair rented a basement on London’s Berwick Street and were eventually joined by Albert’s sax-playing brother Fred, whereupon Albert became Premier’s first sales manager.

Overall the Premier Artist Birch is great and very effective kit! Great sounding and looks great! Dynamic control is fantastic and this kit and suit a variety of different styles from Latin to Heavy Rock. Mar 24, 2005 · From what I've noticed, a lot of metal drummers in Europe use Premier: Thomen Stauch (Blind Guardian), Mike Terrana (Rage) for example, and from live and studio recordings I've heard from both drummers, the drums sound very very good. Virgil Donati uses a Premier setup on the Steve Vai in London DVD, sounds like a very fat kit.
