6mm, 6-ply 100% North American maple shells are very well balanced, very articulate and have an speical "differnet" sound than your typical Keller made made shell. The sound of this kit with Remo powerstroke 3 heads on toms/bass and white coated snare surpasses the sound of my Pearl masters maple drumset. Hardware finish is excellent.5/5

Premier should offer a virgin bass for this series. All of these things are just signs of a mid-range drum kit wrapped in a maple price. Buy Ludwig Rocker Elites and save $200-$300 (no they're not 100% maple but still sound great). I got rid of some to get the Premier Artist Maples and it was an expensive mistake. I thought I was upgrading!3/5

We've got used to Premier's splendid lacquers on its Series drums and the Genista looks just as good, especially with the loud-and-proud big red 'P' badges. The shells are lacquered internally also, and both maple and birch look gorgeous with healthy grain patterns.4/5

Written on: 24/02/2008 by DougieS (2 reviews written) I have recently got my hands on a premier artist maple kit and I have to say I am extremely impressed. The finish is beautiful mine is in Rosewood lacquer and is real eye candy but the sound is even better.

Nov 24, 2008 · I play an Artist Maple series 24", 12", 16" kit. It takes ambassadors really well and gives people goose bumps and excess saliva. These drums are very sensitive to tuning though. If the tuning's a bit off, you'll notice it immediately.

Mar 24, 2005 · I'm looking into purchasing a new kit soon. A three-piece shell set to be exact, a 12x8" or 12x9" rack tom, a 16x14" or 16x16" floor tom and a 20x18" bass drum with 20 lugs are my criteria. The story goes like this: I first looked at Masters BRX drums, and got at total of about 1600e for a 12x8", 16x14" and 20x18" kick drum. 20" Masters kicks come with only 16" lugs, but them available without ...

I have three Maple kits, Pearl, Slingerland, & Sonor and 3 Premier Birch kits and the Premier Artist Birch kits are what I play 90% of the time. They sound great and you can really control the volume with the Birch, tight and focused sound, easy to play at any volume.
