Ran Ortner was born in 1959 in San Francisco, CA, and was raised primarily in Alaska. His paintings and installations have appeared in solo and group exhibitions worldwide. Recently in 2013, the United Nations invited him to exhibit Element No. 5 in The Hague, Netherlands.
