Rebecca Alzofon, a full time professional artist, practicing in Menlo Park, California for over 20 years, is an instructor to students and professionals for various Bay Area organizations. After receiving her BA in art with a concentration in painting, she trained herself by studying the works of the Masters, to paint in a traditional manner while painting portraits.

Jul 17, 2003 · The works I'm referring to are the black and white chalk on blue paper academies. Other artists during his time used these combined materials to study the figure, but Prud'hon took the form to new heights. Most artists abandoned academic figure drawing once they completed their training, but Prud'hon kept at it throughout his career.
