Rehana Mangi’s works are very personal, drawing upon her memories as a child growing up in a Pakistani village, and her days at school. She first started drawing as a therapeutic activity after suffering a personal trauma. Later, she began weaving her hair into the artwork to commemorate her illness as well as her village’s tradition for weaving.
