Richard Kolb crafts his metal sculptures by welding together scrap and reject car parts, bicycle parts, garden tools and farm implements. He has expanded his offering of birds, dogs, cats and critters to include dog and cat feeders, flower pot holders, key holders, wine caddies, business card holders and salt and pepper holders.

Yardbirds began in 1991 when Richard Kolb’s father, who was about to retire from his welded gate and satellite dish business, called him to come see the metal bird he had just created. The two began experimenting and having fun welding scraps together. They found a metal scrap dealer in WV, hauled in several truck loads, and the rest is history.
