    The deaf art/deaf artists project began as a course taught at the National Technical Institute for the Deaf (NTID) at Rochester Institute of Technology by Paula Grcevic and Barbara Fox. In the development of course material, Grcevic and Fox assembled a collection of documentation on deaf and hard of hearing artists.
