Rm Palaniappan (b. 1957) is a well-known Chennai-based artist and an alumnus of the Government College of Arts Crafts, Chennai. He was the Artist in Residence at the Oxford University in 1996 and the recipient of several awards, honours and residencies including the Fulbright Grant, Charles Wallace India Trust Grant, International Visitorship programme of USIS, and Senior Fellowship, Government of India.
