Robert Cage. Robert Cage was born in New Orleans on April 4th 1937. Robert F. "Bob" Cage of South Boston, renowned artist, athlete and former world champion tobacco auctioneer, died Wednesday morning after a period of declining health. His passing was confirmed by his church, St. John’s Episcopal in Halifax, in a message e-mailed to members. Cage, a Halifax native, was known for his achievements in an array of fields that he pursued with customary passion.

There is a rusting circus tent, a globe made of rusted wheel rims, a large bird and abstract shapes to gaze upon. Cage, in his 80s, drives up from his cabin to welcome visitors.
