Robert J. DiVita served as an Asst. Profesor of Art at Kendall College of Art & Design from 1970 - 1992 teaching various courses. After retiring in 1992, he has been active in pursuing art interests including painting, sculpting, carving and integrating Adobe Photoshop with other mediums.

After earning his BFA in art and zoology from the University of Montana, DiVita worked as a graphic artist and then as a medical illustrator for the University. A career in medical illustration would have meant leaving Montana, so he took a job as wildlife illustrator for the U.S. Forest Service before becoming a full time sculptor and painter.
