Biography (Courtesy Askart: The Artists' Bluebook): California born Robert Watson studied art in New York and with Frederick Taubes at the University of Wisconsin and had his first one man show in 1948 at Gumps in San Francisco. He would exhibit in that city many times over the course of his career, as well as in London, Paris, and Jerusalem.
