Ronna is also the recipient of a Western States Arts Foundation Fellowship and is the 1994 Bonnie Bronson Fellow. In 2004, Neuenschwander and husband Baba Wague Diakite started the non-profit Ko-Falen Cultural Center in Bamako, Mali, which brings people from the US into direct dialogue with Malian artists thru art workshops, music and daily living.
