Malcolm Root FGRA. Malcolm was born in Colchester, Essex in 1950 and has lived in Halstead ever since. He left school at the age of 16 years and trained as a printing apprentice with a view to a career in design and typography. He left the printing trade in 1981 to become a full time artist.
