Roseta Maria Santiago was born and raised in Washington, D.C., where she started her career as an exhibit and graphics designer. In 1994 The Bass Pro Stores retained Roseta to paint life-sized wildlife murals. After completion of 22 stores she moved to New Mexico and established a home and studio. Her lifetime dream to paint became a reality.

Twenty years ago Santiago followed her dream of moving to Santa Fe to paint. “I bought a little house and locked the door,” she said. “I taught myself to paint.”
