Ross Booker was born in northern NSW, studied at Queensland College of Art and currently lives and works in Brisbane. His work has been exhibited extensively in Brisbane since the early 1990s. A foray into central Australia in 2008 changed the focus of his art practice, with his primary artistic interest now in the arid Australian landscape.

I am primarily a landscape artist. I have been exhibiting since the early 1990’s but only found my feet in the landscape genre when I started regular excursions into arid Australia in 2008. Central Australia has been my main focus, spending many months camping in remote areas on Laritja and Arrernte country.
