The artist was born in Ramat-Gan, Israel in 1937. She studied ceramics with Israeli's leading sculptor, A. Doctor and Z. Guri, a noted ceramist in Israel. From 1973 to 1977 Ruth studied at the Ramat-Gan Art School where she specialized in sculpture and modern art.
